General information on the use of the temporary public aid received from the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales through the Solvency Support Fund for Strategic Companies.

Grupo FerroAtlántica, S.A.U. and Grupo FerroAtlántica de Servicios, S.L.U. have received a financial support from the Solvency Support Fund for Strategic Companies managed by the Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI). This support consists of a loan of €34,500,000 maturing on 1 June 2025, which is instrumented through an ordinary loan of €16,900,000 and a participating loan of €17,600,000.

This support has made it possible to alleviate the liquidity difficulties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic by covering the operational and financial needs of different items such as the purchase of materials, other inputs necessary for production and other ordinary operating expenses of the activity. In addition, it has allowed the implementation of an investment plan with three main objectives focused on production plants in Spain: increasing their efficiency, boosting their digitalization, and advancing in the ecological transition.

Grupo FerroAtlántica, S.A.U. y Grupo FerroAtlántica de Servicios, S.L.U. han recibido un apoyo financiero del Fondo de Apoyo a la Solvencia de Empresas Estratégicas gestionado por la Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI). Dicho apoyo consiste en un préstamo de 34.500.000€ con vencimiento el 1 de junio de 2025, que se instrumenta a través de un préstamo ordinario de 16.900.000€ y un préstamo participativo de 17.600.000€.

Este apoyo ha permitido paliar las dificultades de liquidez consecuencia de la pandemia del COVID-19 cubriendo las necesidades operativas y financieras de diferentes partidas como pueden ser la compra de materiales, otros insumos necesarios para la producción y otros gastos operativos ordinarios de la actividad. Además, ha permitido ejecutar un plan de inversiones con tres objetivos principales centrados en las plantas de producción en España: incrementar su eficiencia, impulsar su digitalización y avanzar en la transición ecológica.

General information on public aid granted by the French government for a project to produce bio reductants for silicon production.

Ferroglobe has received financial support from the French government as part of France 2030, notably in the "Industrie Zéro Fossile, Volet 2 (DECARB IND)" call for projects for the decarbonization of industry operated by ADEME (Agency for Ecological Transition). This support consists of a grant of up to €5,880,000.

The grant will be used to implement a project to produce bioreductants for silicon production, with the aim of reducing Ferroglobe's CO2 emissions by 73,120 tonnes per year.

ADEME underlined the quality of the project, pointing out that it is fully in line with the industrial emissions reduction targets set by France 2030 and the national strategy for accelerating the "decarbonization of industry", in conjunction with the national low-carbon strategy (SNBC).

Thanks to this support, Ferroglobe will be able to move ahead more quickly with its efficiency, digitalization, and ecological transition projects across all its production sites.

This project was financed by the French government as part of the France 2030 program operated by ADEME.

Ferroglobe a reçu un soutien financier du Gouvernement français dans le cadre de France 2030, notamment, dans l’appel à projets « Industrie Zéro Fossile, Volet 2 (DECARB IND) » pour la décarbonisation de l'industrie opéré par l'ADEME (Agence pour la transition écologique). Ce soutien consiste en une subvention d'un montant maximal de 5 880 000 €.

Cette aide permettra la mise en œuvre d'un projet de production de bioréducteurs destinés à la fabrication de silicium dans le but de réduire les émissions de CO2 de Ferroglobe en 73 120 tonnes par an.

L'ADEME a souligné la qualité du projet et a rappelé qu'il s'inscrit pleinement dans les objectifs de réduction des émissions de l’industrie, fixés par France 2030 et la stratégie nationale d'accélération de la "décarbonisation de l'industrie", en lien avec la stratégie nationale bas carbone (SNBC).

Grâce à ce soutien, Ferroglobe pourra avancer plus rapidement dans ses projets d'efficacité, de digitalisation et de transition écologique sur l'ensemble de ses sites de production.
